ACWORTH, GA (January 7, 2025) – Evergreen Partners, an emerging owner-operator of private golf and country clubs, proudly announces the acquisition of Governors Towne Club in Acworth, Georgia from founding developer Mr. Ken Horton.
Established in the early 2000s, Governors Towne Club has redefined luxury
living in the Atlanta suburbs. This exclusive gated community is home to nearly 300 custom-built estate homes,
with 150-acres of future development.
At the heart of the community lies an 18-hole championship golf
course masterfully designed by Curtis Strange. The elegant clubhouse provides a variety of dining experiences,
catering to both casual gatherings and fine dining occasions.
In addition to the expansive 84,000
square-foot campus, members and residents also enjoy a resort-style aquatics center, eight lighted tennis
courts, and a full-service spa and fitness center. New ownership plans to expand the offerings to include
amenities such as: pickleball and bocce courts, on-site lodging, reimagined children and youth areas, golf
simulators, and numerous improvements to the golf course.
Preserving a Legacy
Mr. Horton remarked,

me. My development of the Governors Towne Club represents the culmination of all the lessons learned over the
years.”

several years, both my fellow homebuilders and I have a deep vested interest in ensuring the club's future
is guided by capable operators who share our long-term vision for the community.”
